Let's see how he's doing tomorrow and will go from there. Could be HITH or somthing else. It is improtant to keep the water clean, not just now but going foward.
A salt dip will help slow it down if it is HITH as well... I've always used aquarium salts for my dips or a product called disease control. I would still treat with metro and salt after white spots go just in case it was HITH with a secondary. But that's just me.

The aquarium is usually very clean. It's my pride and joy. I grew up raising Pacu's. One of my favorite fish due to the size they get to and the ease of caring for them. But with life being Active Army occasionally between training the tank might sit an extra week between WC's. I'm new to Cichlids in general starting with Convicts and Dempseys last year. Then my wife introduced the Flowerhorn as a surprise and even tho he was half the size of everything else, he quickly decimated my entire tanks population lol. He's simply awesome and I'm hoping we can get past this illness. It would suck to lose him.
Update: After 24 hrs with GC/Salt treatment the biggest blisterish spot above the eye is looking better. Still an open wound as you can see in the photos. But IMO a noticeable improvement. Also his temperment is back. He attacked the glass when I looked in on his fry.
