One guy throw a fit because I would not replace his 1.00 neon tetra. When i said, sir, a pH of 4 and a ton of Ammonia present is no good for them, he told me "i am a scientist and i know what i am doing!" - Riiiight, i asked him what pH stood for and he couldn't anwser me!
he threw a fit at my manager, then the assistant manager, then the store manager, we ended up almost having to call to have him removed!!!!
There are way to many stupid people out there.

dacox said:I think ignorant customers are 90% of the time just misinformed. I have never worked at a LFS, but always try to make a point to educate customers who I have noticed have been misinformed. There are always those "know-it-alls" out there who won't listen to advice, but I think that most people (especially when confronted by a fellow customer, not an employee who might be in it to make a sale) are pretty receptive to the info.
