Sweet! Now I know I'm not the only one who has a test kit collecting dust. I don't feel guilty any more:D

NICE!!!

I was never gonna admit I don't test my water on here, for fear of being flamed into banishment.

I do 25% water changes 2 or 3 times a week, use amquel+ (removes chlorine, chloramine, reduces ammonia, nitrite and nitrate and stabilizes pH), and have plenty of filtration.

I know my water is good, and have only tested it once.

did you bring the test water in before or after a waterchange?

LOL!

I only keep a test kit in case something goes wrong, and it has only happened once.

Here's how I test my water:

If I smell even the slightest bit of a faint odor when I lift the lid, or if there is a noticable amount of poo on the surface of the sand, time for a vacuum and a water change.

LOL!

3 days after and one day before the new fish came in....

I have thought of buying a test kit but since we got good tap water and I keeping up on waterchanges I feel theres no need for it. Good to hear I´m not the only one :)

Yeah, I can't remember the last time I used a test kit. I find that paying attention to your fish, and the smell and look of the tank to be much more useful.

I think testing is useful. Simply to avoid unnessessary water changes. IMO- doing water changes arbitrarily is a complete waste. For example, my 140gallon with 8 large goldfish (medium bioload) takes a month to go from 10PPM - 20 PPM in nitrates. Its then that I do a 50% water change.

I would say, since you asked, that you're crazy..but then, what else is new?
