i've many stories like this here's two 1 is i went to a lfs an and guy told me piranha's were salt and and anotother told me his friend breed aros in his pool ha i still laugh tiill this day and this was a few years ago man i hate retards

I was at a party and saw a 29 gal tank with some kind of catish it was almost touching both ends of the tank.i felt terrible for that fish i tried to give them 1 of my 55gal just to give the fish a little room, but they said no.theyve had it like 10 years.20-30 years ago many ppl kept 8-10" oscars in 10 gallon tanks.its just amazing these fish survive :swear:

He was lying. I've noticed a lot of LFS employees doing that. You have to call them out on the bull****.

I'm also one of the anti-store-feeder people, if only because I remember pulling out dozens of dead goldfish and minnows when I worked at PetsMart, how thin and starved they were, and how many of the time I'd find anchor worms in the holding tanks' filter pads. Very very nasty. Goldfish are also not the best thing to be feeding fish, point blank...of course, in an ideal world, we'd raise our own feeders and not have to worry about disease!

I worked at a LFS for many years and never got tired of customers asking me if we sold any allergy eaters.

great stories guys. I know all too well about the bad feeders. I have had several fish infected by them. I usually try to quarantine them, but one of my catfish hasn't ate anything in like 2 months I tried remedies for everything and nothing. I thouhgt he might warm up to the feeders. No love though. On another strange and slightly sad note, I got my TSN x blotchi hybrid today and he kicked my marble catfish's *** to death. So now he doesn't need to eat the feeders. I'll miss him. raised him from just a young pup.
