Just received my favorite parachromis...the Dovii!

These pics are just a few hours after shipment....I have never seen a fish glass bang so much and so soon...

Haven't had him for even a full 24hours yet and he is not shy at all...can't wait to see his colors pop soon

sounds like an awesome dovii.And he looks stunning already.
 
Thank you Animal guy, he is very fun for just being in the tank for 1 day

And Watson, appreciate the feedback from a fellow dovii owner. I too think he has potential nuchal hump development

As promised, here is a video of him flaring his gills and some glass banging. He was a bit worn out but still not bad activity for only 1 day...video doesn't show his blues too well. He will need an upgrade soon enough at the rate he is eating his carnivore sticks

Nice looking fish. I've always found it very funny that such an aggressive fish like the dovii has an upturned mouth that makes it look like its smiling from the side view.

I always thought the same way!
I believe the dovii is a very unique cichlid, especially when comparing to its other parachromis cousins.

Some always confuse freddys with loiselles, or even RTM. The Dovii and the Jag have their own unique attributes that set them apart from other cichlids.

Personally, I like their bright blue colors and personality more so than the other parachromis that I have kept.
