Looks nice!!

Elodea is what you got. Cabomba caroliana, is a bit demanding about light, and nutrients in the water. Japonicus, crimonsette, I don't know what these are. Dracaena sanderiana and umbrella plant (if it is what shows up on google search) are semi-aquatic plants (i'm not sure its the correct word) and it prefers to have its leaves out of the water. Dracaena is similar to lucky bamboo. Sword plants and vallisnerias is what u should go for!

Elodea (eggeria) isn't a plant that actually makes roots in the gravel. It only has some long roots that are used for stabilization. You could leave it as a floating plant. Then add some amazon swords and vallisenria. Vallisneria will soon shoot runners that develop into new plants. Look for cryptocoryne, and anubias

I'm not sure about the snail and if sh will eat them. Also, it depends on what kind of snail it is, about if it will or not harm your plants. Most of them though are harmless to a certain degree if they have food to eat (algea and leftovers from fishfood).

So I want to get some swords, anubias and cyrptocoryne, can LFS's usually order them in? Mine is a rather small 'odd-job' in it's owners life. He's a qualified tradesman so he's always elsewhere.
I'm still working the gravel but wont' have it sorted for a week or two maybe. The snail LOOKS to be a Malaysian trumpet snail? I'm just reading about them and they seem quite helpful actually!
After searching I can't find any others like it so I have to assume they are MTS's.

I'm thinking of placing each of the Elodea's a few inches apart with swords inbetween then the other plants in front. I spoke to college and I'm all good to take some pipe from the scrap bin! No charge either, what it is to be a student that doesn't annoy tutors.

I really do appreciate everyone's help!

Hopefully I can get hold of some gravel and those plants before too long! Then have a happy SH :).
