The way i see it, No matter what the product is, there is always something that will go wrong with some. When you large quantities of a product there will always be a bad apple here and there, it just happens. Don't blame the filter or the company for this, they offer a three year warranty for a reason. If it continues to give you problems, contact hagen and see what they say, then if nothing is done about it, that's when you can blame them. I love my fx5 and i believe that it is a wonderful filter, especially for the price that you can buy them.
