The filter definitely looked new though and the seller is one of the most trustworthy people here in the boards. I saved $50 for buying a used one but I will end up paying for the brand new price I guess.

bro filters are tricky
i just bought a new filter too and had the same issue

Fixed it. Its the round filter pads at the bottom of each media trays. Those things clog fast!

Run the filter without any trays or media. See if it improves, if not, make sure the impeller can spin freely and make sure its not jamming up on anything in the impeller well.

I also did that and they worked fine. That's when I figured out that everything works fine. Then I cleaned the filter pads at the bottom of each media tray and viola! It's fixed.

dont use those fine pads bro. they dont work so well and you will always have to change them out. now lets see pictures of the fish.
