FX5 OWNERS HELP !!!!!!!!

I'm gonna give it one more try tonight and see if it works. If not it's off to Hagen tomorrow...They told me it sounds like a motor issue...The impeller looks fine and they told me there is only 2 parts to the FX5 that can go wrong and that's the motor or impeller... They gave me return number and told me they'd ship me a whole new motor assembly with new impeller....

Yea John is a great guy to deal with, and if i choose to run a 2nd FX5 John will be the 1st one i call....
 
my money is on the rubber gasket on the tube which stays in the canister. I have been out to a few customers places after they had the things working and they have had slow flow problems, I have been running mine with out the little gasket for about 1 year now no problems, I can't offer why it's there nor can I offer why the flow rate is lowered it just is. try to remove the little rubber seal from around the tube (not the one which sucks out the bubbles in the center of the lid there should be another one)
 
I've tried everything and this baby is off to Hagen today !!!! Last night i checked the motor againa d even filled the canister and and plugged it in with no lid on the canister and NOTHING !!!! I just heard bubbling sounds coming from the motor and impeller area..So one of the 2 is jacked up....Thanks for everyones help and suggestions....

GOOD NEWS !!!!! Got new motor assembly today and now FX5 is up again and working like a champ...Hagen's customer service was great and replaced parts with no problem...
 
Glad to hear that you have the problem solved. I keep back ups of every piece of equipment we run for just this reason and a stock of repair parts as well.

It sounds to me like the impeller blades seperated from the drive magnet. I've seen this happen on other mag drive equipment. It's just one of those things that can happen to any pump in the world.
