Hey guys, just wondering something...

My 10" silver aro does not go on the right half of my tank. I have a 125 [72x18] with an FX5 return in the back right corner. I'm pretty sure he doesn't like the flow. I'm thinking about building a spray bar [getting pvc hose for the return line and hooking up the required elbows and whatnot]

1. I'm probably just going to do this..

2. Should I put it along the back facing the front of the tank? Or on the right side with current going down the tank? Does it matter?

Thanks!

Yes I know how big aro's get blah blah.

personally i'd bulid it to fit the longest part of your tank, so i'd put it against the back facing forward. the longer spray bar will allow the water to be distributed through out the length of your tank reducing overall current in the tank since the same amount of water will have more space to fill.

My intake is in the middle in the back so I'm thinking I'll make the spray bar across the top on the right half. Probably out of clear pvc. I think that'd look sweet. I've been debating bare bottom too since I now have monsters.

I made a spraybar for my FX5 using black 3/4" PVC pipe. the bar is 24" long and spreads the water out nicely without a whole lot of current. I bought the PVC from http://www.savko.com/ not the easiest of sites to find what your looking for but pretty reasonable shipping if you are doing a low dollar order ($25ish). I thought about the clear PVC but it costs so much more for the fittings that I decided on the black.

Hey thanks for the website, I'll check it out. And yeah the clear stuff is expeeeeeensive.

you could split the output into 2. one at each end blowing towards the intake in the middle
