Fx5 stopped working; how to fix it.

Just to be specific, remove the 4 screws encircled in red

I took it apart and got these two pieces, do I just clean these out?

Yes and you have to pull out the middle part on the first pic. The impeller is in there held on magnetically.

Also does the water become cloudy when the water goes back into the tank? And when unplugging the water lines, does some water normally leak out?

Yea- you should close the valves before disconnecting the hoses. Not sure what you mean about it getting cloudy though

Every time I clean my filter and plug it back in, the water comes out cloudy if that helps and btw cleaning the impeller worked great

Air is coming out from the canister that makes the water look cloudy at first after restarting the filter. It's normal so nothing to worry about.

Glad it's working now- water will clear up in an hour or so
