i run a fx5 and 2 penguin 350 on my 180gal 2 ray tank.

I Have, FX 5, 405 and reina xp3 for 100G tank.

I have 10 IT's raning from 6 to 10 inch, and a 5 inch retic ray and 8 inch zaire blue

i have a FX 5 and Eheim 2028 pro 2 on a 120 gallon tank with a 7 '' ray and 3 8'' bichirs.... i would for sure go with more filtration if i had a 180... that's just me though...ive heard RTCs can be messy, plus u said ur planning on adding more fish so i would 100% go with more filtration. ...again this is just my $0.02

DUDE for an 180 i would definitely add more filters.
if you dont like tubes than i suggest 2 ac110's
honestly you can never have to much filtration..
my 60gallon has 1 aquaclear 30, 1 tetra ex70 and one eheim 2215
and i plan on adding a ac110..

i have an fx5 and a 60 gallon sump on a 180 and have no problems at all,and i am heavily stocked at the moment
