Parts availability for the"Classic" line is great. They are a really straightforward filter. Never a problem with parts for them in my world. My very good friend was an Eheim rep for a number of years and swears by the technology. ...however, even he says as of late, and he isn't a rep any longer because of it, the protuct has gone way down as of late. New ownership or poor manufacturing or a combination of the two have made Eheim somewhat of an average Joe these days. Customer service is virtually non-existent. ..and again, parts are very hard to come by, especially on discontinued lines like my 2250 ( original)...
For your hard earned money, and this is my humble opinion, you would be better to spend it on a new filter and one that has an equal track record..or similar at least to Eheim.
But sometimes you have to deal with impatient, sarcastic, rude people like me.Stick around and you'll get a feel for our rather warped sense of humor.

Wow that's disheartening. What about an fx6?
I will find the gasket in the morning. Royals one (live in KC) and more important things to doI'm glad I came aboard! Yall seem like some of the most genuine and knowledgeable fish keepers on the net. Everyone on here has recommended the eheim filters, and I'm really leaning that way. Just wanna make sure I get the most for money. Most of all I want the absolute best filter on the market for my fish.
