Fx6

You guys are classy. It's great to see you guys do constructive arguement than destruction.

Back to the OP question, I never own a 2262 but I do have several Eheim 2028 Pro II and they draw 25w each. I stack the media trays as recommended by Eheim. Saving power is great but it shouldn't be the main reason for you not to buy a certain filter

Thank fish.....harly is a good guy and very knowledgable no need to argue over something like what filter is better. In fact I agree with him.the reasons arent only wattage like I stated in the previous post. I already have an established ac110 and a 2217 that will be going on the new tank trust me I love eheim but figure the fx6 is much cheaper and cant be all that bad considering how many members use it on this and other sites. Like I said im laying out an arm and a leg just for the stand and canopy the wife likes so I could save 3 or 4 hundred going with the fx6 and the power draw is a bonus

I assumed the Fx6 is a repackaged fx5. its is a good filter but that filter has their own issues as well. I was actually considering on getting one because I like the back flush feature of it. Every canister has a flaw or a weakness. I just go with the one that I can tolerate the flaw or weakness.

I couldn't say I havent had experience with either filter but all I can say for me its less $$$ if price isnt a concern I would go 2262 (no back flush feature)

The 2262 has a back flush valve near the bottom end of the canister, in addition to inlet and outlet.

Jaws, are you coming to the Konvention?
