Haven't been impressed with my FX6. You have to breakdown the motor and clean the impeller atleast every few months or flow rates will diminish to nothing. A simple powerhead with mechanical filtration attachment seems to catch wayyy more gunk than the FX6, so much so that I don't even run mechanical in it(besides the pink pads along the outside). It's certainly one of, if not the quietest canister filter I've used, but besides that it doesn't seem to be "good" at anything else.
