I had two strokes that have me re-learning some basic motor skills I took for granted before. :( I injured my neck and it resulted in a tear of the vetebral artery leading to the base of my brain. The tear caused blood clots and the resulting strokes. Pretty nasty stuff.
 really sorry to hear that :(

Thanks Dev. I'm not upset about it though. Stuff happens and I'm lucky to still be around. If you think about it, I got six weeks off work to lay there and watch my fish and now I have some purdy ones! :D

Not sure TBH. It was about 6". Peter's big male made it, the smaller one and the larger female made it, the other large one was DOA but I didn't vent it. Honestly not too sure what happened but it got COLD that night here for some random reason. OR/WA is just like that.. None the less I could not be happier and really appreciate your effort Sean! :grinno:

one of mine had longer trailers than the other. im glad you're enjoying them. i've moved stock around in my 2 tanks twice since they've been one. seems like the abalios chasing each other drew the psittacus' attention away from the severums.

Is your psittacus giving your severums crap now? Glad you got to move your stock around. It must be the one with the larger filaments that made it then. The females' are quite long for it's size.

Yeah the abalios are a pretty rowdy species IMO. A larger group from day one is all I would do if I started over from day one.. That's why they get the 300g. I am going to sell the tank they are in when I'm up around again.

very nice they look mint. when I used to have mine, the males always battle and end up with something missing on the fins.

Nice abalios,

I had four, but had something happen that ended up wiping out my tank, I'm glad I was able to save my last one.

Yeah the males are the worst but they do look the best!

Hey they look great. Good luck with the spawn. Mine will be moving into their 240 gal in a couple days. Oh and i have the sand in 2 of the tanks now. I love it. Thanks again for the info on where to get it.

Yay gueenie I'm so glad you found it! Even better you like it. I told you there is no better sand for geos! I am on a quest to stop MFK from puking PFS to everyone all the time, there's better options out there!!!! ;)

The female is holding today. I'll see if I can snap a vid. :headbang2 Hang on a few.

THIS. If your luucky enough to find it, this is BY FAR the best sand I have ever used. It is heaver and smoother then PFS and has better grain so it looks far more natural IMO. It's a little spendy but everyone always spends so much on thier fish/filtration/setup then cheaps out on substrate :screwy: (plant guys excluded). I have in the past too and learned my lesson. I slowly have converted over to this stuff in all my tanks.

The bag. This is $0.50 / lb. not too bad. You can fill a deep sand bed 3" or so in 8'x2' tank for $100.
