Gar fishing with bows

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Personally I do not get the whole hunting thing, this included. That being said it will never change so no sense in arguing about some people methods or hobbies?? My suggestion for those looking to kill for the adrenaline rush, most hunters, is to join the military. There is a great place to hone your skills, but most would rather kill something that will not fire back. chicken****es.

If the truth were known the only fish that are legal to bow fish for are extremly overpopulated and are actually considered trash fish.

I find this very offensive. Who cares if fishermen think a fish is trash? Who are they to decide an animal's ultimate value? Just because humans can't or don't eat it doesn't make it trash.

I read where Gator Gar populations were declining. So I don't think over population is a problem. Also, how many years does it take to grow a 200 or 300 pound fish? Seems to me killing them for sport is another example of wasting our natural resources. I wonder how many years of this redneck nonsense it will take before this species becomes extinct.
