This happened to one of my florida gar but after a few months, it went back to normal. As long as fish eats still, it has a chance of going back to normal later.Ok thanks. So will the back be alright In a few days or will it be permanent?

I just left my gar alone in the same tank for the 1st few weeks, then it started eating again on its own. I wouldn't move the gar unless tank mates might hurt it.Thanks a lot all of you .
But my gar still doesn’t eat.. what do I do ? Should I feed him feeders?
And I think it would be better to move him to a smaller tank right?
Guyz. My gar is STILL not eating. It’s very irritating. What do I do?
Ok thanks .Go to your lfs and buy a few crickets. Place a couple in the aquarium and hopefully this will trigger the Gar to go after them.
Keep the stress levels low and it should start eating again. They are tough fish in my experience. Just have to be patient and monitor the fish. Once it starts eating consistently and putting on mass, that's when the back should start straightening out. There is quite a few old posts about this type of thing happening to gars. I am not a gar keeper but it appears that often this can heal such that the gar straightens out or at least lives. Seems only time will tell.
