yea there bouts. idles in high water, under foliage. atfs dont hang that high. the ones that dont learn this trick get shanked and usually die. had a pair that size but one jumped out. growing out 2 others (survivors of 6) now.

one more thing on the atf. feed them a lot. if a day or two go by with out feeders in the tank, injuries occur. don't know if it has to do with hunger or feeders functioning as dithers.

That's pretty much my dream tank. But i'd want a 15' X 5' X 4' tank. Add a few Asian Aro's. I just wish you could find ATF here (US)

WOWWWWWWWWWWWW. that is my dream tank, mad ness. Im hoping to get maybe one gatf, but never dreamed of like ten! BTW, does anyone know where i can get a 12" + Gatf or Armatus for $250? Thanks. And as a reply to reddragons question, you could try that. If I had an Asian arro ($$$$) I wouldn't risk mixing it with fish like gatfs because they are so high strung,even small flickers of movement scare them.. If one accidentally got spooked and hurt my arro, id never forgive myself. However, gatfs are not all bad as they are cracked up to be. Like someone said earlier, theirs got nipped by a red hook. What tank mates are u currently keeping your gatf with? I would suggest other fast moving silvery fish. Ive had succes with golden dorado, atlantic tarpon, distchodus, armatus, odo, pygo piranhas, silver arrows and jardinis. My fav setup was one 18" Gatf, 3 13"golden dorados, 3 12-15" indo pacific tarpon, 1 20" piraiba, and a school of like 10 assorted pygos all about 8" in a 2,000 gallon. It was amazing, but feeding time.....Good luck wit your tank!
