  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oh no either way I am looking to sell the gar. the Fluval E300 has a full heat guard and I don't think the ray tore his disk swimming away but you never know I just am not 100% it was the gar based on the way it was damaged. I keep the gar very well feed give him pellets about 4 times a day

Yea I know, but its just odd a gar would go down for a ray. When I still had my gar he stayed in all regions of the tank especially on top though.

my gar often spend time laying on the bottom.

But you have to realise we arnt talking a florida gar here or even a tropical. We are talking gator gar. uber aggressive and shouldnt have been in this tank under any circumstance.

woke up at 4AM to my gator gar holding one of my motoros in his mouth...
since then my ray has done nothing but spin in circles round and round and did not eat.

is this normal behavior after trauma like that?

Woah dude go to ub lfs and see if they will house him till u find a new home for him or ur rays won't make it

Jeremy... You really shoulda taken the gar out like everyone said... wow... I don't know about the spinning around, but it doesnt sound good at all! take that gar out and roast him! jk.... but seriously you shoulda but a divider up the 1st time man..

Dude!!! Not trying to be a prick but I do believe we all told you about the gators. And it is rather shocking that you left them together even after the attack. I can understand the first attack being your experiment but the second, all your fault and totally avoidable. If you must have a gar, as many of us informed you before, get a florida gar. I feel very sorry for your poor ray but if you lose him, its totally all your fault. This was totally ridiculous and avoidable to say the least...at that's being nice! :screwy::irked:

X2 on what Kolossas says... Did you think we were joking?? Kind of a slap in the face to us when we told you to get him out and you decided to leave him in there, and now here you are asking for help on a subject we discussed already... If you're not gonna take our advise why post on here for help!? I feel sorry for the ray.
