ok but 10cm or 3.9 inches in less than a month is a lot is faster than a RTC
grows, i never got a RTC because of is grow rate and now i have this , must finish my big tank

yeah! that sounds fine. honestly i am seeing similar growth in my tropical gar. he is now 11.5". i got him less than 2 months ago at 5".

remember...this fish gets MUCH larger than an RTC.

Nothing about 10cm in a month is unusual for a juvenile Atractosteus spatula you should expect it actually....

i has expecting big grow rates but this is something that you can notice every day, but is a nice fish to see in the tank, i gone get some spoted gar this week , so lets see

try not to feed him too much.

give him (yr gator gar) a proper diet, feed once daily maybe.

feed for it needs is good enough, dun feed too mch.

Frm my exprience, gator gar will jst keep on eating, watever on how mch u feed him.
There's a time, my gator was only about 12 inchs, he could jst ate up 10++ gold fishes less than 10 minutes, each gold fishes(for feeding) was about 1 inch long.
I gave him away while he was around 26inch.
