hello fellow Adelaidian :headbang2you'll love this site. Only problem is that half the fish you see on this site are not available here, and the ones that are available will cost you an arm and a leg. Personally i love the bichirs, but i've only come across one here so far and they were asking $250 for a really small fish, like it was about 5cm. Welcome to you're new addiction, lol :D

yer i kno hey keep seeing these rays and all these insane looking fish but dont wan2 decide from here cos probs cant get them here ha ha what u got mate.
Yer radelaide best place to be

How's it goin mate. Sorry to hear about your turtle.
You have a good size tank to put in some cool fish. I have seen rays here in aus but they are in the $1000+ mark. Saratoga will out grow that tank, not to mention they more often than not kill everything in sight when over 10". Barra's are cool, not my thing personally.
I have a tank very similar in size, Malawi Haps is the way I've gone. Large preadatory African cichlids. I love em, and am always on Seaviews list for any rare ones they can get. Another Idea would be American cichlids, I'm also in the process of growing big, some really nice ones.
Which part of Ads are ya in I can point you in the direction of some really cool stores.

hey man yeah barra are cool cos there big but they prob just sit there unless they feeding i had a callop in there with the turtle he was boring unless he was eating yeah i was leaning towards cichlids there tough and still look decent am i limited to what i put with them?? im from down semaphore way cheers

ive got 3 tanks at the moment, a 6, a 3 and a 2 footer, i've goldfish in the 3 waiting to move into another 6 footer, which hasn't arrived yet, should arrive in about 2 days. In the tropical tank, 6 foot, i have a black ghost knife, silver dollars and clown loaches, thinking of getting some rainbow fish too. But i would really looooove to have a bichir lol.

Barra take years to get big though. A mate has three in a 6x2x2 they're about three years old and aren't over a foot yet, slow growers.
What kind of filtration do you have?
