Look for some stuff called silicone-be-gone. It will break down the silicone and allow you to remove it. Just be careful that you don't damage the integrity of the tank seals.

I just ordered ZOOPOXY. I'm going to slap the Zoopoxy over the slate and encapsulate the bioseal silicone.
