Geo Sveni tankmates

That's awesome! I like the aro too. Is he black or silver and do you have any issues with him? Are those gar or pike on top?
It’s a silver. I sold all the stock in here except for the Ctenolucius Hujeta and the Hemiodus Argenteus.

your tank is stunning by the way. The Boulengerella would look great in there. They are in the same order as the ctenolucius and act very similar. The Boulengerella get a bit larger and three species are available annually during the season (which is usually late fall to early spring here in the US). The Cuvieri get the largest and can get up to two feet. The Maculata (spotted) get to a foot, and the Lateristriga (striped) get to 8-9”. Malone’s monsters has them for sale now. They look better than the Hujeta.

last point on them, they will only eat live at first but they are easy to ween to prepared food. Get them fat with some feeders and then slowly starve them and start with FD Krill. Theyll eventually eat them and transitioning them to floating stick pellets is easy from there.

By the way, stunning tank you have there.

I appreciate the compliment. I'm jealous of your setup though.

I'll check out the Boulengerella. If I go with the Lateristriga how many would you do?

I'm a fan of the aro too. Do you think I could pull one off in there?

You can do an Arowana IMO with your tank size. It’s a large tank and certainly large enough for a black. It should also leave the geos alone. I kept my aggressive adult silver with altums and the geos at one point. If you do get the aro, don’t get any Boulengerella.

if you go with the Boulengerella, get a group of 6-8. They are stunning in schools.

It’s the best part. You’re now destined for three-four hours of reading, watching videos, and searching the forum to make up your mind. :)

Nice layout love the natural biotope scape. I think it needs lil more color imo. I would personally do a school of like bleeding heart tetras or something similar in color and size. I prefer groups of schooling fish that has colors. Or maybe a group of flag cichlids. They are more top level fish that would love to hang out at the top of your driftwood area

Hahah! I know it. I've been very casual with the hobby the last few years after being really into it. I sold my 12 foot tank last year and am excited to make some subtle changes to this one. I have a 72x24x36 high I'm thinking about redoing next.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I have a 36" tall tank I'm thinking about doing a big school of tetras and maybe discus in.

I’d cry if I sold a 12ft tank. That’s the size I want. My 600 feels limiting.
