Geographic Variant Morphology in S. rhombeus

i was told he was a spilo but his blood red eye and coloration makes me think he is a yellow rhombeus or gold diamond? any help is much appreciated since im fairly new to piranhas.

Looks like a gold spilo (Maculatus) to me, which I've seen gets red eyes when mature...

I've read the Macs from Argentina don't get red eyes though (keeps clear eyes), but those also get bigger than the standard Macs/Spilos (10+").

But I'll defer to G since he has more experience...

Damn I envy all of you guys! My fav is the blue diamond rhom, but the chance of me finding one in CA is like 0-1%.... I got SUPER lucky finding my reds. I want a bdr so bad! I will pay any price for one!
