Geophagus Steindachneri holding already?!

That is so neat ..totally wonderful..looking forward to pics.. how many do you have of these guys? Just a male and female.. that is really lucky by itself.

I have a funny story.
A few days ago we had an african cichlid who was holding, so we moved her to the "spit tank". She only let 2 fry go, so either the filter claimed the rest or she did. Anyway, when we saw the geo holding the african went back to the main tank and the geo took her place. I went to the tank to make sure that the geo was ok and I saw all of her fry free swimming with her on guard. As soon as she saw me, she started scooping all of the fry back into her mouth, including the african fry!! it was so funny to see her make the extra room for the african cichlid fry in her mouth LOL. She's going to make an excellent mother

BTW, I only have 3 of the steins. 2 I think are female, 1 male.

That is truly unbelievable.. what a very sweet sweet geo.. incredible actually.. and great story to go along with it..so sweet .. and so unbelievably lucky.... cannot wait to see the babies.,,
