Geophagus Tank Help

Maybe, just keep an eye on them in case they start picking on the smaller orangeheads.

In a tank that is tall like that you are going to want something to fill the upper levels of the tank. If you want to do a biotype tank, look at Festivums or a large group of 12-20 shoaling tetras of your choice/. If you are not looking into a biotype tank. I agree a nice shoal of 12-20 Congo tetras or some kind of rainbowfish would look awesome. (Your wife would like the rainbows, most likely). You have so many options but remember to look at where the fish spend most of their time to balance the tank out.

Good Luck and Take Care

Lemon tetras would look nice in there. Small but good schooling fish and from same biotype

By festivums, do you mean these?

Could I get a few of these and one school of tetras actually?

I've got a 9" Chocolate in with my eartheaters and he doesn't mess with them at all. Great combination in my opinion, and they have great personality..

They might not be the nicest looking fish, but their personalities are beyond any other fish I've had. Best choice for a centerpiece cichlid in an eartheater tank in my opinion..

2 of them as in the same species, or between your 3 picks? I would stick with chocolate and sev.. Don't have any experience with Uaru, but have heard they're better off not alone.
