Mine could very easily be an altifron but to be honest i'm not really bothered either way, the altifron is just a type of surinamensoid which is a variation of the pure surinamensis and all i know is mine's a beautiful, peaceful fish in a tank of monsters and is the biggest one i've seen of it's kind.
 
I don't recall saying you should be bothered :P I've already stated that I don't actually care which species George is, I love him anyway - I'd just like to know in case I decide to buy more and breed them or something, and thought you might as well. Guess not ;)
 
George is awesome... spectacular glimmering color.. :) And great picture of him:)
 
Im always on the lookout for any Geos that resemble the ALtifrons/Surinamensis body shape... I want them all, i think they can interbreed(some species) atleast.
 
That's a killer Geo you have there.
