Just now saw this thread, congrats. I want some of those babies, I've always wanted some GBRs for my wifes tank.

I was surprised to see them breed. I've really enjoyed watching them spawn and take care of the babies. Even tho they ate this batch this morning :(

Congrats. I found keeping java moss and moss balls provided enough natural food for small batches of fry like that. I didn't breed rams specifically but it worked work for other dwarfs. If you can get your hands on a microworm culture, this would be a good first food for them. Then after about a week get them on brine shrimp nauplii. I found the live foods packed the protein in and gave fry a jump start. It's not necessary but definitely doesn't hurt.

I really want to move them into one of my 20 longs when I'm able to and make it a nice planted tank for them. I loveeee real plants and how they look. I love the moss also. I would definitely get some of it. Thanks for the advice!! :) :)

awsome fish. what are your water peramiters like for the rams?

rep 410 Bmore!

pH 7.6
ammonia 0
nitrites 0
nitrates .5

temp 82-84 degrees

their water is pretty soft, I don't really know how to measure it.

Cool! My bolivian Rams had babies last month, but the parents ate them:(

Mine just ate the rest of this batch last night or this morning. The male has horrible ich, so it's good that they did. He looks sooooo awful tho. It's really freaking me out.

sweet, id love to get some if you end up sellin em

They ate what was left of this batch. The male has severe ich, so it's good they did. I just did a water change today and bumped up the temp to 84, so hopefully it will clear up sooner than later. I've never seen it this bad. It makes my heart sad. Maybe next batch tho if it's a good one :)
