the fish was about the size of a tictac... not very big. i would guess it would fit right in there.
 
I've heard quite a bit about the candiru and it is a parasite that attacks fish gills and latched on to the blood vessels. It's was attracted to the fish in the first place by the trail of amonia in the water from the gills. In human cases it is peeing in the water and the fish swims right up the vagina or penis.

There is no proof they are actually attracted to Ammonia. In fact the studies that have been done suggest otherwise. It is really kind of unknown why they would bother with swimming up a path of urine. This is also rare enough of an occurrence that it really is more of an oddity in behavior than normal regular habit.

One thing I can say about Candiru is they are very adept at killing or injuring themselves in interesting and borderline ridiculous ways. Much like some Kids these days......

Really? Thanks didn't know that, I read an article also on pfk that it was the ammonia and that was like 2 days ago.
