Depends on the individual fish. Chances are it's NOT going to get along with another bottom dweller. If you're looking for tank mates stick with something that stays in the middle or top of the tank & even then it's a maybe.

How big is your tank?

Not the case.. bottom dwellers work fine with red wolves. Yes they are aggressive but primarily only to other wolves and during feedings. I've lost several fish to my Red Wolf but they were all fish that would fit in his mouth. There are always some exceptions to the rule but the general consensus is that they will be fine.

I've had mine since it was around 3.5" and it's now 9"+ (over 2 years). I currently and have kept him with: bichirs, raphael cats, syno cats, silver dollars and african butterfly fish.

ok what a bout a bunch of danieos as target fish

Don't really need Target fish for these guys.

I have had one for about 5 years now and have never had an issue with other fish including botia unless they have been small enough to eat. I have never kept him in anything less than a 50g. I currently have him in a 200 with dollars a pair of pike cichlids a lap poly and a couple of tats. I would think other erythrinus would be an issue though
