well i finally got the ok from my parent to get a 75gallon tank, but before i setup it up i wanna ask a few question and share what im going to be doing with it.

Tank:
48"L x 18"W x 20"T

Stand:
im going to make one like this: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12830

Filteration:
Wet/dry. what size sump should i use?
im using this pump: http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=TA3148
im going to make a pvc overflow, would 1" tubing be enough? and is there aquarium safe paint that i can use to paint the pvc black?

Decor:
for gravel in going to use 100lbs of play-sand mixed with some rocks
then some pieces of driftwood. and some lilly pads

Fish:
NATIVES!! WOOT WOOT

so there is my setup. what do you guyes think?

sounds like a good plan, you'll like that stand:)

You can use Krylon fusion to paint the PVC. I've used it and I know eh1421 has as well. It worked great for me.

thanks, i just need to sell a fussball table before i can get this tank setup

Make sure you have a back up pump. Rio's are notorious for failing randomly. Not trying to stop from buying one just a heads up. I know people that have had them for years also.

you could probably build one that would work out of a 10, but make sure that if your pump shuts off your sump is large enough for the water that will keep flowing.

i think i just might do with a 20 just to be on the safe side

YEAH, went to aquarium adventures today and came home with this! i cant wait to set it up. but i have to sell a fussball table first.
