I got a 25" clown knife, had him for about 4 years since he was about 4 inches. When he was little he wouldn't really take any food so I just went the easy route and bought him rosy reds. I've been feeding him feeders all his life. I really enjoy this fish and want him to live as long as possible without the fear of disease. Any of you guys have any successful tactics or info that can help me get my clown off feeders?
One concern I have about this fish that is different than other fish is it seems he notices food when it moves. I'm afraid a sinking pellet or something that's more stationary will give him a hard time to recognize it's food, so I'm thinking even starving him for a week before feeding may not work because he may not even recognize the sinking pellet is food. Just thought I'd throw this observation out there. Thanks.
