Getting another tank. Need ideas, input.

Ya but you said a single fished tank. He has a 5" bgk and some type of catfish going in there so he couldnt do it in there.

From what i have heard ebjds are way peacful, but i think that might be too small for one? Sorry not 100% sure.

If it were me i would get some angels and discus and make it a heavy planted tank.

I'm not going to put my catfish (4-line pim) in if I put in a cichlid, like I said. Just a BGK.

I already have a designated Angel tank, so I'm looking to go another way with this one.;)
 
acaras would be my vote. Maybe firemouths, don't have any experience with EBJDs but from what I hear, they may fit the bill as well. Howabout some jewel cichlids or a single polleni?
 
Out of those you listed, oscarcrazy, Firemouths are definately at the top of the list. I've been thinking about getting Firemouths before I even knew I was getting another tank... I'll need to hear more stories of their behavior towards other fish like my BGK to be certain, but it's looking like a top contender along with the (now) EBJD.

I think he meant singularly as in one EBJD, not one sole fish in the tank.:)
 
if u go for acaras i would look int finding krobia intanyi, neat little fish and they are really pretty.
 
What are people's thoughts on a Firemouth with my BGK?

I know there's a thread on the knifefish page where a guys experience with mixing the two proved a bit unsuccessful, in that he lost his BGK -- literally.

Is that just a rare case, or is it to be expected?
