Getting fed up with Marineland..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Marineland has always been good with me. I get a response the same day I email a question, and their solutions always work. I also like the bio-wheel feature. I plan on getting a penguin model for a ten gallon soon.

Ok I discovered why this is happening. I looked on the internet and apparently im not the first one this has happened to so I'll just post this. It shipped with a missing part. That is a flow manifold cover that directs some water up the tube into the spray bars. I managed to fix this on my own because the other one that i recieved that didnt start at all i still havent shipped away.. and that one did have this part. So when i send it back it will be missing parts.. but i dont think they should give me to much trouble considering they are shipping them out that way.
Steal whatever you can off of it then play dumb unless they have your credit card number.

Yeah I gota Marine 400 also. I like it. My first water change was tough to get the filter primed. Also, sometimes in the tubes they get clogged. But not to worry. Yo can take it apart run hot water and gently tap out the debris.

AC look like chinese crap sorry
i agree... 10 years i have had my marineland 400. when you start the filter you have to have a cup ready to pour water in right where the spinner section is and you wont have a problem.

Marineland 400 was good i mean i still have one on a breeder tank in my living room and people wont stop unplugging it bc its soo loud. I liked the 330 better it self started and wasnt as loud. Only thing that quuiets them i learned is using chapstick or some kinda of heavy polmade on the rotors inner rod.

i just got a 280 for my 29 it is real quiet, but i have it on my 75 right now with a 10 year old marineland. the 400 is on the last year of its life as far as getting louder is concerned, and it's only pumping about 200 gph i would estimate.
