I have an emperor 400 filter that is older than me and it works great! I like it better than the newer ones because it has flow control... It makes no noise other than water, which should be expected from a fish tank.

When I buy a new filter and it is missing something, then I call and get that part plus an extra impeller and an extra o-ring. I know it isn't honest, but I guess it all works out in the end because they messed up *shrugs* Oh well, I have actually never needed to use one of my replacement impellers but it is a safe practice having one on hand.

I have a penguin 200. It works fine, but the biowheel makes too much noise so I don't use it.
