Right, but odds are that they will. Do you have any experience in this or are you just posting for the sake of posting? Take some time and research this and then come back and give a valid opinion. You realize your giving advise to someone who has more experience on the matter then you, though his experience is very little.
 
I am right now an only getting some info taken down. I don't know If I am going to risk losing a fish.
 
i kinda have experience in arow community but bderick has experience in pairs which is better =D and, have a 2nd tank rdy just in case they fight
 
The only way you should even attempt keeping a pair of aros together is to have two tanks that can adiquately house an arowana. You may need to seperate them at a moments notice to keep one of the aros from being killed.

Odds are only about 33% of the time that a pair will work. With three aros your chances are better, looks to be about 75%. With three though if things go wrong you could need three tanks.

Hmm I wouldn't risk it...plus 2 8" gars for one small silver is kind of a bad trade. Up to you of course but I wouldn't. But I love gar so I guess I'm biased.
