Getting new car..advice?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
"obviously dont trust car dealers" is why people have such issues buying cars. if u say whats important most professional salespeople can help make reccomendations. sure ill point out what i have but if there was a better choice id send u elsewhere. u want fuel effeciency? and ur thinking a suburban? sure you have 3 kids but do u need a vehicle that will rival a bus for seats and space? roomy fuel effecient 3rd row vehicles are rare. mazda5 is a great choice as it is based on a mazda 3 hatch so has similar fuel effeciency and price and drivability. the rav4 can be had with a 3rd row but doesnt have much room.

Good now get some shots of it and post in the show your wheels thread.

just kidding, great on gas!. Good luck. I know how hard it is to find something with enough room. I went with a Ford Flex, but they are only a couple years old so still not easy to find used.

Thanks guys! Oh what a day!!! Good lord! 9am till now finally home, 6 car dealers, 3 credit checks, and 8 cars later. Its still not what i would have preferred to pay monthly but here were my choices:

1. 02 expedition, leather interior, wood panel, best price wise for paent plans. BUT the turn off , baby roaches in the seats. O.o

2. Bad credit limited me to a smaller suv then prefered and the gmc i mentioned would have been ok price but needed co signer an no volunteers. So the first car they showed me was plan b.

3.bid dealer but only dealt with bank repos and new $20,000 cars. Way to expensive with no credit. And they were jerks :/

4. Dealer ford expedition good price, good condition BUT missing the third row seat :/

5. For explorer with third row seating good conditions outside but very worn and leather seats were horrible. Best price no financing requires but interior not so good so this was plan c.

6. The truck i fell in love with, dodge ram quad can four full doors, asking price was fair BUT whoever drove it before must have been a construction worker. Even had paint splatters, everything inside was damaged or worn.

7. Two dodge rams prices too high but no financing options. Cash i did not have.

8. And final!! Was shown a trailblazer at fair price and as i was walking back to my car was the 2003 expedition. Mind you by now its 4pm and it didnt occur to me banks would not be open to retrieve the down payment. Almost ended up with no car. The monthly payment was a bit high alomst double than i was hoping to pay but this car was in great condition and the guy had even just driven it 2 hours away and back with no problems. The dvd was also a major sale sealer! Seriously great car, low miles, great interior and a dvd player?! I was sold. So finally got home at 7 after all day.

I must say mfk, my own family did not help me or offer any help choosing this car, i have to thank you all very very much for taking your time to adding your comments and experiences. Thank you very much. Unfortunately i didnt encounter most of the cars you guys suggested but still i am thankful my mfk family at least tried to help.

Thank you all!!!

Now to buy an mfk keychain ;)

Lmao! That is pimp! I think i saw a ford flex but it was at the dealer that had bank repo payment take over cars so they were way to much. :(
