Getting new car..advice?

Can't answer either of your questions lol, question number 2... Possibly did they install a GPS tracker or something similar per the financing? Maybe if so that could be what's blinking?

Also, on the end of your shifter should be the overdrive button. For some reason when you start the car it's on. Push it in for city driving or if you live in a hilly place. Only want it on if you are going a constant 40 mph or higher. Wish someone told me that when I bought mine. I drove it for about 8 months before I found out. And I live in Pittsburgh. Hate to think what I did to my tranny lol.

At least that is what I read and heard about. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong lol.

Replacing door handles is really easy, usually just 2-4 nuts on the inside of the handle. The hardest part is taking the door panel off and getting it all back on.

The red blinking light is probably part of Fords theft deterrent system. It doesn't really do anything it's just a deterrent so that would be thieves think there is an alarm.

Hi moooooon!!!

Ok im in miami. No hills lol. And as far a city driving i dont exactly live in the "city" . I live in the boondocks lol. Near farm land. I think for daily driving which is to and from daughters school i barely reach 40 mph. So what ya think?

There is a knob that says 2w and its crossed out, then 4w then some other numbers. Whats this all about? I dont have a manual for this dang car!
So why it came with bells and whistles i dont know how to activate the bells and whistles lol. Took me a day to figure out how to work the radio i kid you not!! I didnt know it was a touch screen that pops out.

Like i said the only issues ive seen so far our all internal and electrical. For some reason my hazards turn on by themselves o.O Gonna test the dvd today i hope it works well. I put like a little under half full of gas today so lets see how long it lasts. In my old car i would do the same and couldnt get to friday without another $15-$20 in gas.

I see the antitheft blinker on the dash so i thought this was something else. Im scared to push the button :P it seems pushable. Wish i had the manual.

Another question guys. This car comes with keyless entry option, and alarm. It didnt come with its original key. Is there a way to a. Get original alarm keychain thingy and b. actuay program and use the keyless entry or is that a loss cause?

you'd have to go through a ford dealership to get an new keychain ($50 bucks i think) and they'd have to program the keyless entry there unless it's still on some generic pass.

did you take this truck for a test spin? Worries me that you've already got things turning on on their own

Yeah you're gonna have to go to a Ford dealership to get that one. If they look at your truck you should have them check if there was an aftermarket alarm installed and you just didn't get the fob for it.

The only time over drive needs to be turned off is while towing. Otherwise it is fine to leave it on.

If it's stop n go ie red lights stop signs, drive with the overdrive off. Push button in when you start the car. It'll become second nature.

I haven't had an expedition in a couple years, so it's hard to remember stuff lol. I have a 2003 explorer now, so some things should be similar. Sounds like a lot of aftermarket stuff was added to this truck.

The radio head unit for sure was aftermarket.

The 2w and 4w sounds like the 2 wheel drive and four wheel drive options. You always want to have it in 2 wheel seeing as how you live in Miami. No snowy roads to worry about lol.

Half a tank is a decent amount of gas if I remember correctly is a 20 or 22 gallon tank so half a tank, with normal driving should last you til Friday, maybe lol.

I used to have a 15 mile commute each way to work. I put 80-100$ a week in gas in my truck. I hate its mpg. Lol. I don't work right now, so now I go through about 40$ a week.
