so i am getting two guine pigs ( bad spelling ) today. a guy from craigslist is delivering to me in a little bit. ill get pictures when i get them. dont know where to post this, so if not the right area, please feel free to move the thread, thanks!

haha funny, do cats treat them like mice/rats? hope not.. hes comming later today to drop them off. just asked what is all included, paying 10.00 total.

I had two boys that I got for my wife when we first got together. I recommend you feed mostly the pelleted food with some veggies. When I first got em I only feed lettuce carrots the skin of cucumbers and Timothy hay. Their would drive me nuts with that squeaking noise they make till I switched to the pellets.

A cat might think of it like that depending how your cat is with rodents. My cats loved em when I lived in Florida my outside cat would always bring me dead field mice.

well they are comming with a cage/water bottle. trying to get him to bring some food ( he said hes using rabbit food for them ) tell i can get to town next week...

I had one named piglet when I was younger and loved it for the most part. He only liked me and wouldn’t let anyone else pick him up but would just walk into my hands. I fed him guinea pig food as well as vegetables. Do not overdo it on the vegetables or they will get diarrhea. My one pooped a lot, think of the mammal version of a pleco that can flick it out of his cage with hind legs. They can’t climb but I would suggest a top since you have cats. You are going to have to change the litter A LOT, as stated earlier they poo all day. They need some wood to chew on for their teeth and a place to hide. I had a hollow log in there so it provided both. Hope this helps, they are a really great pet and bond well, especially if gotten young. $10 for 2 with a cage is a steal, good luck and have fun.
