getting water to the sump?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think you are almost getting it. You need to remember that the T area is not your exit point. It's simply a "loop in the hose". the exit to your pipe is in the sump, not the T. If yours is working it's because of an air bubble in teh "t", leaky connections allowing air in, ie the air line you tapped in, or the flow is slow enough that the siphon is broken from air entering the exit of the pipe. Otherwise, an airtight version of what you pictured will drain until the siphon is broken from the intake.

AH HA.. that's what I was asking about previously LOL a vent. hahahah sorry, we had to have such a long discussion about it.. I just didn't want you to end up with a wet floor or worse.. Yes, the open part of the "T" would be the vent I was talking about.. then yes, it's perfectly fine and will work.

TA DAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. its workin as we type lol. its an overflow fed by a siphon. pics would have helped but my webcam only has a 6' cord, lol.

soooooo. i kinda changed it a bit. i added a cap to the "T" and air brake line to set the siphion break. it's lets the water fill till it reacehes siphion, the breaks at the leavel of the air line. and am now pushing with a quet 1 2200 pump
