nice mine lasted about 3 years before the top ring got a hole in it now I have a metal framed pool 10' in diameter that I set up for them when it popped but it has since been drained and is sitting empty at the moment

Wow, three years. I was going to get one of these to winter my pond fish, but am afraid of punctures and flooding the basement. I was also going to use it until I made the pond bigger. The price is so attractive as compared to a 300g stock tank.

i had pacu cat stingray frt plecos and no leaks so I would do it

You could always use the dr joe suggestion and put a liner in it for extra insurance. Even just buy two pools an dput one inside the other

i dont see the rubbermaid tub as ghetto...

however add a dried out heater, a powerhead, some pot scrubbers and a waterbottle with the bottom cut off and you have my qtank setup

Here's my pics. My ghetto wet/dry temporary made out of an old dishwasher silverware holder and one out of an old intank filter fed by my HOB. Oh and the "spraybar" from the powerhead is a urinary catheter container
