Ghost knife fish compatibilitys

Is the Rope Fish getting close to the BGK's hiding spot or is the BGK going after the Rope Fish?

Knife could mix it with potential prey then..

This too. A 6" Rope Fish looks like a big worm to a 6" BGK.

So D. Wolf is probably correct that the BGK is assuming the Rope Fish is a prey item. A 6" Rope Fish is pretty thin and a 6" BGK can easily see it as food. I would separate them. Put one of them in a spare tank (probably the BGK) and let the Rope Fish get some girth on it. Rearrange the tank and reintroduce the BGK back into the tank.

Okay in that case will the bgk be in danger of the mbunas or vice versa and will the bgk harm my blue crayfish in there?

Its not really the best combination as small mbunas will probably be eaten during nights.. It also can happen bgk will try to eat their eyes (there were many keepers who said bgk ate eyes of corydoras fishes.. About crayfish-there can be damage from both to one another but i cant say anything because i never saw them together in tank..

I wouldnt say they're tiny mbunas but not full grown yet and i did follow your advice and moved my bgk to the chiclid tank and transfered my crayfish just to be safe

the rope fish probably just looks like a worm. that small of a knife isn't really aggressive.
I hope the mbunas don't bite the knife. they easily succumb to attacks and stress.
knife needs carnivore diet, and mbuna not so much.
Another option is to divide the tank with rope and knife.
[please research fish beforehand]

I actually did research before hand for quite a while actually and it seemed like they would be compatible and if it helps the knife is about a year old
