Get 12" piece of 3/4" PVC. The ropefish can hide and the BGK can't get in. Don't feed earthworms till the ropefish fills the pipe.

In a 55g? I'd stick with mostly the smaller Upper Jaw species like Senegalus and Polli...only 2 that popped in my head at the moment.
