Ghost shrimpies with a male betta?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
as long as the shrimp have a place to hide, and the tank is big enough for all. it should work..
unless you have a really agressive betta.

I have a female Betta with ghost shrimp. She nips at them every once in a while, but I haven't seen a dead one in the tank. If she does kill them I won't be to upset they only cost like $0.10 a piece.

Cool, I have never kept them together but had dwarf gouramies about the same size that would pick them to pieces.

try it

hmmm sounding OK i guess

Just go for it , the shrimp are so cheap, I've had bettas eat some I'm sure, but those shrimp can swim A LOT FASTER than a long flowing finned betta, It's something cool to watch!

do you think i could keep like 12 ghost shrimp in a tank with 9 guppies, 6 danios, and 2 bristlenose plecos and maybe 3-5 cories?

Sure. I keep mine with my large mouth bass, but only for about 5 seconds at a time.
