Unfortunately my long time buddy and pet passed away, he went in his sleep which I'm sure was painless. Just fell asleep and never woke up....
SPIKE taught me that a pet is a huge responsibility but when cared for properly the gratitude and feelings for that animal are more then words can say, especially when their with you for a decade and a half. He will always be remembered but more importantly SPIKE is the reason why I'm into reptiles/animals and his spirit lives on in each and everyone of them....
He was truly part of my family, thanks for all the advice, comments & interest given in this thread,

RIP, my first beardie was also this big (but female) and also named Spike, he was lucky to have you as an owner and to receive such wonderful care.
