Quick vid of my juvenile monster. He should double in size before being moved into a larger tank. For now he doesn't seem to mind the 55-gallon.
 
Scientific name is Macrobrachium rosenbergii

You can get them from Miami Aquaculture or Aquaculture of Texas. Also look for 'meanass blue prawn' on aquabid. If you live close to Connecticut, I have an extra male that I will need to find a home for soon. I'd be happy to give him up if he's going to a good tank.
 
I'd give anything for a carcinus. At this point, I've yet to find someone who can get one for me. :/

M. acanthurus, M. tenellum and M. lar are other large prawn species with really cool looking claws.
