Giant Bumble Bee Cat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have three Zungaro Bee Cats at work and they are ferocious eaters! I think they get around four feet in the wild, not positive though. I have seen them eat things their own size (each other!).

By the way, I'd give that Hi-Fin shark no more than 10 days before that cat figures out he can swallow it!

Poor guy is about to get tag teamed:( I'd think about separating them. As soon as those cats got settled in at work, they took pot shots at everything that came near them. I even had one latch on to my finger for a solid 10 seconds! Not to bright, but very hungry:D .

Search under Zungaro Zungaro and you should find plenty of info. I think it's also described under other names but smarter folk could tell you more;) .

I think I'm going to have to disagree:( . IF I'm correct, they are also known as Brachypatystoma flavicans native name "Saltador", they get 1.4 meters or 4.2'

I used to have a tiny one that looks like the one pictured but it died.

I also have done some googling and neither Zungaro Zungaro or Brachypatystoma flavicans Look like the picture.

Microglanis Iheringi (grows to 6") looks like the one pictured above
Pseudopimelodus bufonius also looks like it but looks like it looses it color when older?

I would say maybe check over on planetcatfish.

But anyways whatever it is it is beautiful!

I think I need to convince my boss to drop some cash on some books that are newer than 15 years old! I also did some googling into the wee hours and found a little to support my opinion, but not much! I'm just going to lock on like bulldog 'cause I'm stubborn that way:D
Please, someone prove me wrong. I'm always happy to learn.
Maybe dovii already did, but PROVE it.:screwy:
