Cohazard - it must have been you who mentioned septemfasciatus.

None of the vendors EVER respond to my RARE fish lists that I post on here ... Maybe one or two with the less-rare ones but that's it. Not a single fish has been filled from that list... Have you had any luck in that direction yourself?
There are fish coming in from Asia all the time, so... let's get our heads together and figure this out.

I would try directly asking a vender that frequently imports from asian countries, rather than posting a thread in the B/S forum. We have to go to them, they're not looking for us lol

I'll get started with that after the move in about a month. Gotta set up the pond too. :D

cohazard - good point - I'm gonna check into that now. :) Feel free to make up a list of the vendors that do this, just in case I miss one or two. Ponds will be a necessity yes :)

HEMI - if they are a separate species, they were not "developed" - but would love to hear about that TFH article if you can find it!

Excellent! Then you can have a pair of huge GG's and infinity fry that will be monsterous! Can you imagine trying to keep them all? LOL I would love to see that tank!

EWurm, I just saw a pic of the two in another of his posts - gorgeous. Look just like my golds. WHOO HOO!

I have bred the common Grey Giants if you want some info. Earth ponds, very low tech. Mostly watch and net out babies. I had some white (commonly called pink) ones in there too but they havent bred at all, even with greys.

Giant Gouramis are one of the FASTEST swimming fish I have seen. Real rockets and I am comparing these with Prochilodus and Tinfoils.

I know what you mean about fast swimmers, netting smaller giant gouramis, is crazy...they even fly out of the tank...:screwy:
