GG's tend to be pretty selective as to what they will allow, and every GG is different. they will leave some fish completely alone, and annihilate others to death.
Sooo true, but gg's can be very gentle.I have a huge gg,he was in with flowerhorn, jack dempsey and a convict,he never bothered them at all, when he was young he was a terror, beat up everything in the tank but as he got older he became very gentle(except after water changes).IMO they are the best monster fish to have. They have a huge personality and WILL accept most tank mates, especially if you take it from an established tank and put it in another where it has no dominance over the other fish.they will assert their dominance after awhile but you should be ok.A young gg will harrass and sometimes kill other tankmates but as they mature they will mellow out.If it really dislikes another tank mate then sad to say it will kill it but thats true with MOST fish! It's a crap shoot with most fish species as to which tank mates they will allow!!good luck with the gg they are amazing fish to keep.OH,HERE'S MY BEAST!!
